Future Use of the Bolingbroke Hospital Site Survey

The Bolingbroke Hospital site is owned by St George's NHS Trust who declared it surplus to requirements in January 2009. The Trust has told us that the building has to be disposed of to gain maximum value for the NHS/Treasury. To achieve this, the Trust will probably submit a planning application sometime in 2010 that is likely to be largely residential, though including the health care centre that the Wandsworth PCT is committed to.

We want your help in shaping the debate about the future of the Bolingbroke site. We want to gauge local views and seek to influence the planning application that St George's Hospital NHS Trust is drawing up for the sale and redevelopment of the Bolingbroke. However this is not a referendum as any planning application that St George's might submit will have to be considered on its merits and the relevant Planning Regulations applied. NO planning application has yet been submitted. Our understanding is that St George's Hospital Trust will submit an application later in 2010.
